     This memorial website was created to remember Sophia Renee Newman who was born in Peoria, Illinois on June 25, 2008 and passed away on June 29, 2008. She will live forever in our memories and hearts.

     Sophia Renee Newman, 4 days, of East Peoria, passed away at 8:15 p.m. on Sunday, June 29, 2008, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

     Sophia was born on June 25, 2008 in Peoria, daughter of Matthew Newman and Courtney Turner.

     She is survived by her parents, of East Peoria; grandmother, Dora Newman of East Peoria; grandfathers Vince Coughlin of Spring Valley and William Turner of Washburn; uncles, Mike Coughlin of Spring Valley and Cody Turner of Washburn; and aunt Jenny Turner of Washburn.

     She was preceded in death by her brother, Tyler Newman; grandmother, Tina Turner; and grandfather James V. Newman, Sr.

     A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2008, at the East Peoria First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Alan Newhall officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded. Arrangements have been entrusted to Clary Funeral Home in Peoria.
